Do you have a child who’s reluctant to share his or her thoughts or feelings? Ever wonder what’s really going on in his or her life?  Please join the Barrington Speaker Series on Wednesday, November 9th to hear bestselling author Rosalind Wiseman speak at Barrington High School Auditorium at 7:30pm.  Wiseman’s dynamic presentation will make the case for how cultural norms and social group dynamics significantly influence children’s and teens’ interactions and relationships.
Wiseman will offer step-by-step advice on how to teach young people to speak more freely about themselves and use these skills and awareness to treat each other with dignity. She'll also show proven ways to deal with the common struggles and communication breakdowns between children and their parents and how to apply that knowledge to the larger context of social justice for all.
Books will be available for purchase before the talk and book signing immediately after. This event is supported and funded by the Barrington 220 Educational Foundation and the PTO Presidents' Council. RSVP here.
