Professional Responsibilities
  • Supervision of Special Education Pre K - 12
  • Supervision of 504 Pre K - 12
  • Oversite of professional development for special services staff
  • Provide technical assistance to staff
  • Monitor changes in federal and state laws
  • Assessment of educational programming for childern with special needs
  • Serves as liaison for the district for outside agencies/community/ISBE
  • Oversite of the IEP process for all eligible students
  • Research and decision making for best practice for teaching childen with special needs
  • Complete all necessary state reports/claims related for personnel, extraodinary grant, Medicaid, IDEIA Flow Through Grant, Early Childhood IDEIA Flow Through Grant
  • Oversite of Extended School Year Services (ESY)
